The Tudor Watch Worn by Roger Sterling

There have been some iconic watches that have been seen on the wrists of many of our favourite characters on TV. The most obvious watch being the Rolex Submariner seen on James Bonds wrist. Mad Men, a show about ad men from the 1960’s had some incredible watches that perfectly represented the individuals wearing the watches and the times that were the 1960’s.

Roger Sterling, a wealthy ad man who inherited his company from his father, can be seen in seasons five and six wearing a beautiful Tudor Oyster Price with a Tuxedo dial. The watch perfectly represents Roger - a suave and sophisticated friend of Don Draper, the main character of the show. The Tudor, having an oyster case making it water proof, resembles Rogers rougher side. Roger fought in the Navy during World War II and knows what hard work is and is not afraid to get down and work. He is, however, a very elegant man who is seen wearing three pieces suits and tie bars.

The Tudor features a tuxedo dial which plays into Rogers sophisticated side and matches his outfits really well. Tudor has come in to his own as brand with a lot of their recent releases as well as their success of their vintage watches. Viewers saw the growth of Roger as someone who inherited success to really creating his own much like Tudor.

Enjoy!
