One thing that every watch enthusiast should do is browse some of the catalogs of their favourite brands. A. Lange & Söhne is one of the companies that provides interested individuals with their catalog. The catalog was shipped from Germany and had a welcome letter that really made it feel like the company was connecting on a personal level. The letter appeared to be hand signed, but could have been done with a machine. Regardless, it felt more personal and as if they were only speaking to me.

The catalog includes a great “origins and values” section outlining the history of the company and an explanation of their relaunch. This year, A. Lange & Söhne was celebrating 25 years of their famous watch, the Lange 1. The catalog had some images of some of the anniversary models which were spectacular. Another watch that catches the eye is their Datograph collection - easily one of the best watches on the market today. Also, their 1815 tourbillon is one of the best looking tourbillons produced to dated. Of course, they also display their Richard Lange collection and the perpetual calendar with patented moonphase is truly a beauty.

If you have the chance, order one of the catalogs, it is worth it!
