The Patek Philippe 2019 Catalog Collection

After the positive reception from our video where looked a the A Lange & Söhne catalog, we take a look at the Patek Philippe catalog with you and discuss some of our favourite parts.

The catalog comes with a Thank You letter regarding your interest in Patek Philippe. It also gives you an idea where authorized dealers are located near you so that you can see the watches in the catalog in the metal. There are also a couple of pages in the beginning of the catalog explaining the companies history and the lines of watches you will find in the book.

We enjoyed the Grand Complication section of the catalog. The first watch is the Grand Complication featuring complications on both sides of the beautiful blue dial it has. There are also some nice cuff-links that could match your watch! The next watch that caught our eye was the reference 5374P which is a minute repeater perpetual calendar that is absolutely gorgeous. This second of the book also features the reference 5270P which is arguably one of the best perpetual calendar chronographs produced by any watch company.

The next part we like in the book was the complications section. This part has annual calendars and fly-back chronograph annual calendars and which is some serious complication-muscle-flexing from the manufacture. There is also the reference 5131 world times that have incredible enamel dials.

The calatrava section had one of our favourite pieces, the reference 5196P which is inspired from the reference 570 time only breguet number watches that are super desired within the vintage world. It simply, but oh so beautiful. Obviously the Nautilus section has some great pieces and is probably permanently open on these pages by those who have the catalog. The reference 5726A with the rubber strap, moonphase and annual calendar was the watch from this section that caught our eye.

Lastly, we enjoyed that the movements that Patek Philippe creates have their own section in the catalog. It is helpful for those who are interested in the mechanical aspects of the watches but also reminds us that these watches would not be ticking without the craftsmanship from Patek Philippe’s watchmakers.

Enjoy!
