Watches in The Departures Magazine: The Escape Issue, January/February 2020

The January/February edition of The Departures Magazine had some really great watches advertised in them. The Departures is a lifestyle magazine that articles great places to travel, food and fashion. Even though the watches in this magazine are just advertisements, they still hold their own.

The first watch is the Breguet La Marine 5527. It is a blue dial marine chronograph that is every bit as sporty as it is classic. At 42mm its a larger watch and comes on a rubber strap which plays into its sporty aesthetic. It also has a silicon balance spring which is fairly innovative in the world of watchmaking.

The next watch is the Panerai Luna Rossa AC75. If you thought the Breguet was big, this Panerai is 47mm but is in-line with other Panerai’s. Panerai is the official sponser of the Luna Rossa regatta team, and made this watch for the sponsorship. It is made of Carbotech, the same material used to create the Luna Rossa yacht. It’s very stealthy, made of titanium with a dark finish to it. It is a dive watch for a regatta.

Next, is the RIchard Mille RM 60-01 Regatta Limited Edition. Sticking with the regatta theme, this RM is a flyback chronograph with an annual calendar. It has cardinal points on its rotating bezel which can be useful in regatta races. But if we are honest with ourselves, this probably won’t be used for that.

The last watch is the RIchard Mille RM 07-01. It has the classic Torneau-shaped case. The watch has a skeletonized dial so that the CRMA2 movement can be seen. It is directed mostly to women, with a beautiful white case and white strap. It also has a bunch of diamonds on the dial, even one on the end of the crown.

Enjoy!
