Watches in The Departures Magazine: The Spring Fashion Issue, March/April 2020

The newest issue of Departures had a bunch of really great watches in it, most likely driven by the theme this months magazine which was fashion! The watches were fairly wide in variety and luckily not every watch was unattainable for the average collector.

The first watch was the Harry Winston Avenue Classic Moon Phase. It was nice to see Harry Winston’s two page advertisement for a ladies 18k white gold watch with plenty of diamonds. It has a beautiful blue mother of pearl dial and runs on the quartz caliber HW5203 - a great option for your significant other. Along with this, there was also a Cartier Crash in the magazine, which is basically the perfect watch. It too had diamonds surrounding the outside of the case.

Next there were two Richard Mille’s - one was the RM 037 and the other the RM 07-01 which was also in the previous edition of Departures. The 037 ran off the CRMA1 skeleton movement which is an example of the innovation coming out of Richard Mille. Richard Mille clearly believes their audience is reading Departures, but who would not want one of these watches on their wrist?

There was also a pair of Omega’s the pack a whole lot of punch. The first is the new Bond Seamaster which excellently balances the ‘faux patina’ look which many criticize. It is subtle but there is enough “Bond essence” to the way the watch looks. Obviously the watch comes on the Bond NATO which makes you feel like the man of mystery even more. The Omega was the Aqua Terra World Time. At 43mm and an 18k gold case, it really is in our opinion, an incredible every day watch. On a blue leather strap running on the coaxial movement, what more could you ask for?

Enjoy!
