A Complicated Patek Philippe Clock and a $650,000 Tudor! Only Watch 2021 Results

Only Watch is a special auction that takes place biennially and features unique, high horology watches that are auctioned off to raise money for children with muscular dystrophy. This year, there were 53 watches auctioned, including some extremely desirable watches from the brands you love. We covered one of the watches, the HM10 ‘Panda’ here, but there was also watches like an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak in titanium, a complicated desk clock from Patek Philippe, a Tudor Black Bay, and even a collaborative piece from De Bethune and Kari Voutilainen.

In the video, we dive into some of our favourite lots and discuss the results. Most importantly, this was an incredible auction that raised CHF 30 million for children with muscular dystrophy. This is the second best result of the auction, behind 2019 where CHF 38 million was raised. It is worth remembering that the Patek Philippe Grand Master chime was a huge portion of the 2019 result, so it is nice that more than just a couple of watches got some love this auction. There were multiple that went for above CHF 1 million; the Patek Desk Clock (CHF 9.5M), the F.P. Journe x Francis Ford Coppola FFC Blue (CHF 4.5M), the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak “Jumbo” in titanium (CHF 3.1M), the Richard Mille RM 67-02 Charles Leclerc prototype (CHF 2.1M) and the De Bethune x Kari Voutilainen Kind of Magic(CHF 1.3M).

Incredibly, one can only imagine what the next time will bring - both in the quality of watches and the money to be raised.
