The Memosail has been covered extensively on Life on the Wrist as it was my first ever vintage watch that I purchased. The journey to buying the watch had a ton of research into the watches history, which included researching the movement that ran inside of these beautiful yacht timer watches from the 1970’s.

While we released a whole history of the Memosail watches here, I have never opened up the case-back of this watch to show the beating heart of the watch that started it all for me. So, today we take a look at the movement that runs inside my first ever vintage watch purchase and give you some insight into the Valjoux 7733/4, modified from the Valjoux 7737.
