Vintage Omega Geneve Automatic Review - The Style of the 1970's and Sports Watches

Vintage Omega Geneve Automatic Review - The Style of the 1970's and Sports Watches

Vintage watches come in all shapes and sizes but there was something special about the watches that came out of the 1970’s. Because of the quartz crisis and the style of the era, watch companies were forced to innovate and create very different looking watches. Square watches became very popular, as well as funky versions of oval-shaped watches. But, this reference, the reference 1660120 presents a pretty unique shape. It is very similar to the shape of the Audemars Piguet Royal or the Patek Philippe Nautilus in that you can see the aesthetics of the porthole which the other watches took their inspiration from. We give you some close ups of a very unique, and in our opinion, undervalued Omega.

The watch is for sale here, on our website.

Enjoy!
