What a Collection! Christie's Watches Online: The Geneva Edit An Important Private Collection
Last month, an online auction was hosted by Christie’s where an important private collectors collection was sold. The auction was described by Christie’s to ‘features an attractive range of pocket watches and clocks dating from the 18th century to the present day, all coming from an important European collection. This sale will include signed examples by famous manufacturers, including Patek Philippe , Audemars Piguet, Breguet, Henry Capt among others’.
The prices many of these important watches sold for seemed to be for an absolute steal. Those who participated definitely got many of their pieces for a song, especially when one things about the significance of the pieces. Here are six that stood out to me:
