Ep. 60 - The Gregory Pau Patek Philippe Nautilus 'Olive Green' Dial, $35,000 to $490,000

This past week, there was definitely one topic that was discussed at length (and with raised voices) by collectors which was the Olive Green dial Patek Philippe Nautilus ref. 5711 that was sold at Antiquorum for well over it’s retail price. This is a watch that was recently released and due to lack of inventory is very difficult to get. The watch retails for ~$35,000… it sold for just shy of half a million at auction. This event uncovered many things in the world of watches; the pricing bubble of the secondhand/grey market and inventory levels of very in demand watches - and so let’s talk about it!
