Thoughts on the A. Lange & Söhne Odysseus

Thoughts on the A. Lange & Söhne Odysseus

A. Lange & Söhne have released a watch called the Odysseus that pulls from the current trends in watch collecting. The watch has a 40.5mm stainless steel case with a beautiful textured blue dial. It features the day of the week and the date in the typical Lange viewing squares situated at 3 and 6 o’clock which runs off the L155.1 Datomatic movement. It has a 50 hour power reserve and integrated bracelet that makes it a comfortable everyday watch.

The watch definitely includes Gerald Genta stylistic elements similar to the Patek Philippe Nautilus and the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak but with the Lange flair. Besides design, it carries the extremely high quality that every Lange watch has. Even though it is cheaper than other Lange watches at $28,000, they did not compromise in quality which is a stable of how the manufacture is run.

Enjoy!
