Phillips Game Changer Auction Watches
Phillips will host the “Game Changer” auction in New York City on December 10, 2019. The watches featured are exactly that - game changers. These are watches that changed the way we think about watches and are true icons within the watch collecting world. What is great is not only will the new future owners be impacted by their new purchase, many of the watches are being sold to help charities.
Marlon Brando’s Rolex GMT-Master reference 1675 from Apocalypse Now. The watch dates to 1972 and is in amazing vintage condition as well as historically important.
Patek Philippe reference 1518 ‘pink-on-pink’. This perpetual calendar chronograph dates to 1947. Pink gold case with pink dial, previously unknown and in beautiful condition.
Patek Philippe reference 2499. A perpetual calendar chronograph from 1951 in yellow gold and extremely rare.
A Rolex Day-Date reference 1801. This Rolex is Jack Nicklaus watch, the famous golfer. It is being sold to benefit the Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation.
Urwerk AMC. A unique Atomic Master Clock that comes with a titanium wrist watch produced in 2018.
Rolex Daytona “Paul Newman Lemon” reference 6264. This is a yellow gold chronograph from 1969 that is hugely desired by collectors. It features a ‘lemon’ dial which refers to the colour of the dial.
Rolex Daytona “Paul Newman John Player Special” reference 6241. A yellow gold chronograph from 1968 with a black and gold dial referred to as the “john player” dial.

Vacheron Constantin Overseas Dual Time Prototype reference 7910V. The watch in titanium and tantalum was worn by Cory Richards on Mount Everest. The watch is being sold to benefit the National Geographic Society.
