New Tudor Releases Baselworld 2019

New Tudor Releases Baselworld 2019

Tudor released some very interesting watches this year at Baselworld 2019. There seemed to be a revitalization of the two tone style of watches. This trend can be seen in the purchases of many watch collectors, but also the two-toned chronograph they released this year. They also released a Black Bay bronze with a slate grey dial that definitely has mass market appeal.

The big story was the P01 that Tudor released. This watch took over the internet on the day of its release; you could not scroll through Instagram without seeing it. Tudor was tasked with creating a watch for the US Navy for the “Commando” mission back in the 60’s. They needed to create a watch with a locking mechanism to not allow the bezel of a dive watch to move. They had created a prototype, but did not end up winning the contract. By releasing the watch, Tudor validated that this watch actually existed, moving it from lore to reality.

Enjoy!
