A Patek Philippe Prototype Sold for How Much!?
Being that it is May, auction season is in full swing. There have been some amazing results at Phillips (in association with Bacs and Russo), Antiquorum and Christies including two George Daniels watches, a restored Rolex 6062 and what we will be discussing today, a Patek Philippe Aquanaut Prototype watch. There has been a lot of controversy around this watch from watch collectors and enthusiasts. The first place I saw the watch was on Instagram and it really did stir up a lot of dirt. Some people say it is a completely fake watch, others believe it to be a once in a life-time chance to get a truly unique Patek.
