Timex Giorgio Galli S1 Automatic Released

Timex has just released a new watch to commemorate work with designer Giorgio Galli. Galli has worked with Timex for many years and is currently the Design Director of the Timex Group.

The stainless steel watch measures 41mm in diameter and features interesting grooves on the sides of the watch. It runs on the Miyota 9093 automatic movement that can be seen through the display case back of the watch. With 42 hours of power-reserve, rubber strap and 50m water resistance, the watch is a perfect every day watch. The dial is a simple grey colour with hours, minutes and center seconds.

Often times watch companies try and over-complicate their watches. The S1 is a no-nonsense watch that pays tribute to Galli and the success he has had with Timex. Although it is priced at $450 which is higher than most Timex watches, its simplicity should not be overlooked by those who are looking to find an everyday watch.
