The Platinum Audemars Piguet Royal Oak with a Green Sunburst Dial
The Royal Oak from Audemars Piguet is already an extremely desired watch. The reference 15202 is one of those watches that most people are hunting after. Audemars Piguet released their newest iteration of this reference, and boy does it capture your eye!
Their newest release of the Royal Oak ‘Jumbo’ extra-thin reference 15202 is a platinum cased watch with an incredibly beautiful green sunburst dial. Not sure if they timed the release with St. Patrick’s Day last week, but whatever the reason, the green is definitely what stands out the most. Because of the relative difficult that most collectors have with trying to find a 15202, you can bet this one is going to be even harder.
The watch itself is 39mm in diameter and has a thickness of around 8mm. Platinum generally sits differently on ones wrist. The sunburst dial gives the watch a lot of depth, unlike the patterned dial of other 15202’s that give the dial more texture than depth. The dark outer edges of the dial integrate nicely with the platinum case and give the watch some nice contrast. The watch has a retail price tag of just over $105,000 which doesn’t make this the most affordable, but so desirable. This Royal Oak is not a limited edition piece but will only be sold at Audemars Piguet Houses so you can be it will be difficult to find, or even try on this 15202.
